We already know what Grinding Gear Games have planned for the launch of Path of Exile on 23 October but this evening they have released further info on their site.

In the post they outline new Scion class which is a mix of  Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence. She’s going to be a tricky one to get to grips with due to her positioning in the passives tree.

New leagues are coming including Domination which involves tagging well protected shrines to gain bonuses. The Nemesis league is also being added for Hardcore players where rare monsters have one guaranteed mod from the Nemesis pool. These new leagues will run until 23 February next year.

The new tilesets being added to Act 3 include the Gardens, Library and Tower tilesets expanding the act further than what is currently in the beta test. Players will have take on Path of  Exile‘s main antagonist Dominus in a show-down and the new areas also come with new monsters to take down.

There’s a plethora of support gems being added including the new trigger gems and new support gems which will have an unusual impact on the skills depending on how you utilise them.

One of the more interesting PvP additions is the Capture the Flag mode, new tournament seasons, and for those who want to go head to head, the duel mode.

As far as community specific additions are concerned, the addition of Guild features is a real boost for regulars with its Guild Chat, Guild Stash and Guild rewards which are unlocked with by participating in races and PvP events. Details on how to get hold of unique Guild Tags in advance are yet to be revealed by GGG but watch this space.

There’s a lot being packed into the release version and it will be available on 23 October either direct from GGG or through Steam.
