Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous How To Complete Starward Gaze Where To Find Desnan Adepts Ilkes Aranka Thall Azata Mythic Path

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous — How to complete Starward Gaze

Where are those Desnan adepts?

Starward Gaze is a sidequest in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. To progress further, you need to talk to a cleric named Ilkes. He’ll appear once you meet Ramien in front of the Temple of Desna in Market Square. After this, you’ll need to find a Desnan adept, eventually leading to a Mythic Path unlock. Here’s our Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous guide to help you with Starward Gaze, as well as where to find the Desnan adepts named Aranka and Thall, and unlocking the Azata Mythic Path.

To be clear, I’m not sure if Ramien needs to be alive just for Ilkes to appear. To be on the safe side, try not to kill Ramien immediately when you meet him in front of the temple (#1).

Ilkes will then talk to you about the other Desnan followers, one of whom is a bard named Aranka.

Finding Aranka

To find her, we need to go just southeast of the temple. There’s a plaza here with a Mysterious Stranger (allows you to recruit Nenio later) and a servant of Count Arendae (#2). The latter will talk to you about the Arendae Party House, making it appear on the world map.

Travel here, fight the enemies, and enter the ballroom. While the peeps are partying, you can talk to the bard near the stage. That’s Aranka, and she’ll give you the Aranka’s Shawl quest item. Oh, and you can also recruit a companion named Daeran here.

Finding Thall

Next up, there’s another Desnan follower named Thall. He’s actually disguised as a soldier near the start area when you first visited the Market Square (#3).

Thall will get harassed by some of the crusaders. Go ahead and help him out (which leads to a battle).

Azata Mythic Path

Return to the Temple of Desna (#1) and talk to the trio. Tell them that you’re “stopping for a minute/I’ll gladly sit with you.” Then, when prompted, pick “Chaotic: Sing the song after Aranka.” This will cause a storybook sequence where you’ll be able to unlock the Azata Mythic Path for future use.

Note 1: You can learn about this mechanic in our Mythic Paths guide.

Note 2: As far as I know, only the Ramien/Hulrun decision leads to NPCs that could support you during the assault on the Gray Garrison. Ilkes and co. don’t actually help. In any case, you could try searching for more allies before you conclude the first act of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
