Patrice Bergeron Scores the Spot of NHL 15 Cover Athlete

EA Sports once again opened its cover athlete contest to the fans. There were over 10-million votes placed for the Boston Bruins’ center, Patrice Bergeron. The final matchup was between P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens, and Bergeron. The 28-year-old can now stand amongst the esteemed as the new face of NHL 15.

“Being featured on the cover of NHL 15 is a dream come true,” said Bruins center Patrice Bergeron. “The fact that the cover is selected entirely by fans is an incredible feeling. The passion and support from hockey fans, especially Bruins fans, is unlike any other sport and I’m so grateful to everyone who voted for me.”

NHL 15 is slated for a September 15, 2014 launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will also see similar release dates. The game is currently being developed by EA Canada.
