Life is Strange 2: Episode 4 (DONTNOD): August 22
Continues the adventure of two brothers, this is Life is Strange 2’s penultimate episode. The fifth and final one releases in December.
Mable & the Wood (Triplevision Games): August 23
A “Metroidvania” game with retro-inspired graphics. You can even progress through the entire story without killing a single enemy, including bosses.
Telling Lies (Sam Barlow/Furious Bee): August 23

World of Warcraft Classic (Blizzard): August 26
Return to the very beginning when the plot wasn’t so convoluted and Blizzard’s MMORPG juggernaut was but an infant looking to take the gaming world by storm.
Hunt: Showdown (Crytek): August 27
A first-person shooting game with bounty hunters. Made by Crytek, the studio behind Far Cry, Crysis, and the CryEngine. Hunt: Showdown leaves early access this August.

Take control of humanity’s primate ancestors who slowly but surely pass on their traits as you get closer to the evolution of homo sapiens.
Control (Remedy): August 27
Control is Jesse Fadens’s story. The main plot focuses on her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director. The world of Control has its own story, as do the allies Jesse meets along the way. Side-quests and Secrets are everywhere. Jesse works with other Bureau agents, decodes cryptic ciphers and discovers strange Bureau experiments.
The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut (inXile Entertainment): August 27
The definitive version of The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrow’s Deep. Features a redesigned UI, more customization options, gamepad support, new items and enemies, and a brand new endgame chapter. Owners of the original game will also get the Director’s Cut content as a free update.
Knights and Bikes (Foam Sword): August 27
An adventure game where you control two kids as they tackle challenges, all while riding their bikes. The game takes some inspiration from Goonies.
MXGP 2019 (Milestone S.r.l.): August 27

An anime-style roleplaying game where your character might end up crying… a lot. But, that’s because you’d end up using your tears to empower your attacks and weapons.
Minoria (Bombservice): August 27
An action-platformer game with hand-painted backgrounds and cel-shaded characters. It’s considered as the spiritual successor to the Momodora series.
The Universim (Crytivo): August 28
A “God game” where you guide your civilization as it explores a planet and then, eventually, the galaxy and the universe beyond. The Universim officially launches after some time in Steam’s early access program.
The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game (Fantasy Flight Interactive): August 29
A card game set in The Lord of the Rings universe. The game has been available in early access for some time but it will officially release this August.
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan (Supermassive Games): August 30
The makers of Until Dawn bring their craft to multiple systems, including PC, in this tale of darkness and dread on the Ourang Medan.
Blair Witch (Bloober Team) – August 30
Fear and horror hound you in the forest in this game based on the Blair Witch Project’s themes.
Re:Legend (Magnus Games Studio): August 30 (Early Access)
An online game that draws inspiration from Pokemon (monster catching) and Harvest Moon (taking care of your own village and farms). Re:Legend joins Steam’s Early Access program this August.
Decay of Logos (Amplify Studios): August 30
An action-RPG where you embark on a journey of revenge following your village’s destruction.
Pine (Twirlbound): August 2019
An open-world adventure game set in the fictional world of Albamare. You’ll have to craft, trade, and survive against giant beasts. The rumored PC release date is around August 2019 since this is also when Pine releases for the Nintendo Switch.
