PC Invasion Plays Descent Underground

Descent Underground

I was a huge fan of Descent when it was released in 1994, it was something a little different in a time when the FPS genre was taking hold. There were a few sequels and it eventually faded away into distant memory.

Now it’s back as Descent Underground which was Kickstarted to the tune of more than 600K by Descendent Studios. This week I have been diving in and out of the Early Access of version of the game to find out if I’m as terrible at it now as I was back then, and sadly my ship piloting skills have not improved over the years.

In this video I take a quick look at how Descent Underground is shaping up and I’m keeping a close eye on this title because it will eventually have VR support. Back in 90s I messed about with the original Descent in VR which really screwed with your head so I’m eager to find out how the game will perform in today’s modern VR kit. Until them though you can watch this overview of what’s currently on offer as they continue to develop and add the game.
