Paragon‘s latest hero is the female fighter Terra and she appeared on the servers earlier than usual today. Today’s update not only brought a new hero but also ushered in Winterfest which means free skins can be picked up by playing. The update came with an interface change for AI matches too which was good to see, it’s a little simpler.
So how is Terra? I am really torn on this Paragon new hero. She’s not particularly flashy and she’s quite vulnerable early game. I did come unstuck a few times in the first ten minutes when I was testing her out. Her shield block ability is probably her best skill, it can really save your backside if you time it right and it can boost her tankiness.
Terra is not a Paragon hero you want to be playing if you enjoy great abilities, she really is a fighter in the true sense when you compare her to someone like Greystone who is a little more maneuverable. She will find her place eventually but it’s hard to tell at the moment how she slots in with the other heroes.
This evening I jumped in with a pre-made deck and played a game from start to finish to show how she scales. She’s pretty good mid to late game but she fairly chews through the mana which makes it hard in the early game. This is how it played out.
