PC Invasion Supporter September Update

Summer is coming to a close and the holiday season game rush is about to begin. This is great for PC gamers but a nightmare for us.

There are some big releases due in the next couple of months and we’ll be taking a look at as much as we can, but remember, unless we get code well in advance, the day one reviews won’t happen. We have to finish games before we post a review. Yep, it can be a nightmare.

I want to give you a bit of an update on financing this PC Invasion beast as I mentioned it  in a previous update. As of last month, we ditched our advertising partner, a company we have been working with for around five years. Frustratingly for us they were dropping the ball and were putting us in a tight spot as each month rolled on. I’ve been working hard at resolving this and there is some light at the end of the tunnel, but realistically, things could be tight until early January next year.

We are wanting to expand the team and increase the output but we are taking it slow for the above reasons. We are looking at options at the moment and we’ll keep you updated as that progresses.

Some of you may have noticed we are being selective with the news and this is because we are choosing to post the important stuff and not just any old PR stuff that gets sent our way. Most of what we do receive are  emails to promote and push something and have little substance. We are going to keep doing this so the stuff we are interested and important news doesn’t get swamped by press release stories of little value to you.

Finally, there is now a weekly newsletter! Every Friday all subscribers get sent a recap of the good stuff that’s happened over the previous week. This is so people don’t miss content or things such as giveaways. It’s not spam! We understand people have busy lives so this is a way to catch up.

We are really pleased with the way things are going this year and it’s all thanks to  loyal readers like yourselves that drop by every day. You can see how things have been progressing since March here. We are pushing hard to make this a great destination for PC gamers.

That’s it for now and we invite you to pass on any thoughts in the comments below.
