Haru Okumura is the holder of the Empress Arcana, as well as both a party member and Confidant in Persona 5 Royal. She is a third-year student and the daughter of Okumura Foods CEO Kunukazu Okumura. Haru is introduced on 09/15 and you can begin her Confidant on 10/30 after clearing her father’s palace. She is available during the daytime every day except Sunday and can be found on Shujin Academy’s rooftop.
As with most Confidants, there isn’t a limit on when you can rank Haru up. As long as you achieve Rank 10 before reaching an ending you can complete the Empress Confidant. Also, at Rank 9 you have the option to romance Haru, which changes the dialogue options for the following rank.
Persona 5 Royal: Haru Okumura Confidant skills
Below are the skills and benefits acquired from ranking up the Empress Confidant. The standout skills are Cultivation, Soil Improvement, Protect, and both awakenings. Much like all party members it is worth ranking Haru up as doing so provides benefits in battle and access to her evolved Personas, Astarte and Lucy. Also, the vegetables grown through her Confidant are amongst some of the best SP recovery items in Persona 5 Royal.
- Rank 1 – Cultivation: Allows you to grow vegetables with Haru on the Shujin Academy rooftop.
- Rank 3 – Follow Up: Chance to perform a follow-up attack if Joker’s attack does not down the enemy.
- Rank 4 – Celeb Talk: If negotiation amidst a group of Shadows fails, you can try again.
- Rank 6 – Harisen Recovery: Chance to cure status ailments inflicted upon party members.
- Rank 7 – Soil Improvement: Decreases the total amount of time it takes to cultivate vegetables.
- Rank 8 – Endure: Chance to withstand an otherwise fatal attack with 1 HP remaining.
- Rank 9 – Protect: Chance to shield Joker from an otherwise fatal attack.
- Rank 10 – Second Awakening: Evolves Haru’s Milady Persona into Astarte.
- Rank 10 – Third Awakening*: Evolves Haru’s Astarte Persona into Lucy.
*Haru’s Third Awakening is only triggered in the third semester.
