Pig Flu Stops E3 Japanese Dev Travel

The dreaded Swine Flu, or Pig Flu as we like to call it at IncGamers just to be different, has now prevented Capcom’s Japanese contingent from travelling to E3.This latest news now means that Capcom will not be showing Dead Rising 2 at E3, although this is the only Capcom title to be absent according to Kotaku.”Our Capcom guys are not coming to E3 because of the Japanese government restrictions. The company is taking the advisory very seriously.”The decision by Capcom follows producer Keiji Inafune’s cancellation of his appearance at the Nordic Game expo in Sweden due to concern over the outbreak in JapanDevelop has also reported that Square Enix and KOEI have decided to cut back on travel for their Japanese based developers. While the flu appears to be running rife in Japan, it is unlikely to have any major impact on this year’s event as European and US based company reps will be making sure the show goes on for all affected Japanese developers.
