When they’re not busy adding another 500 billion star systems to Elite Dangerous, the chaps at Frontier are working on Planet Coaster. Perhaps there’s potential for a cross-over here, and it’ll turn out you were building exotic and exciting fairgrounds on the surface of far-flung planets all along.
Speaking of construction, that’s pretty much what this new Planet Coaster video is all about. It features Frontier devs talking about (and showing) the modular building system, the voxel-based landscape (which can be terraformed into interesting shapes), and the integration of rides into the landscape itself.
It looks like you can get pretty in-depth with your building choices, down to which particular type of lantern you stick on the outside of a booth.
