Uber Entertainment revealed that Planetary Annihilation would be heading to Steam for “early access” and it’s available from today for a hefty price.

Shelling out £67.99/$90 USD will give you access to the alpha test and according to Uber, the price tag was “determined” by their Kickstarter price bands for the game. Uber plan on unlocking more features for the RTS between August and June.

If you want to hang on and save some cash, between September and November beta access will be available for the price of $60.

So what do you get in the alpha? The features being highlighted include:

  • Alpha requires a 64-bit operating system! 32-bit will come as soon as possible, but at launch for alpha, you MUST have 64-bit
  • Single planet combat: Land, Naval, Air
  • 2 – 10 players (2 – 4 recommended)
  • Army vs Army free for all (Armies can support multiple players)

Uber also recently released an alpha trailer to entice RTS fans to check the game out.
