Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was shaping up to delve into the origin story of Faith, the former protagonist of Mirror’s Edge. The game was previously slated for a release date of February 23, 2016. The game’s Senior Producer, Sara Jansson, has released an update concerning its launch window. The update comes from a post on the Mirror’s Edge Catalyst official site. It now lists the new release date as May 24, 2016.
She states in the post:

So we’ve made the decision to bring Mirror’s Edge to the world starting May 24, 2016. We will use these few extra months to make sure that when you step into the massive City of Glass and experience the rise of Faith, it’s as entertaining, impressive, and memorable as it can be.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is slated for release on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Its new release date is May 24, 2016. Are you disappointed in the news? Or, do you thin this is a good thing for the game and its development process?
