Amazingly, this is not a Kickstarter post. Austrian developers Crafty Games are already remaking Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny, and they’re far enough along to predict a second quarter release date for the project.
It’s said to be a “one to one” remake of the 1992 original, except with “a complete visual reimagining along with a comprehensive overhaul of every aspect of the gameplay.” So … err … not a one to one remake at all, then? How confusing.
Anyway, some form of remake for Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny will be available around April-June, and may help fill any voids left in your life after finishing Legend of Grimrock.
The original was quite the hit back in the 1990s and is still referenced in hushed breaths wherever older RPG fans gather.
