Remastered Edition Of Broken Sword II Announced

Revolution Software has announced that the sequel to Broken Sword, which received a ‘director’s cut’ edition across multiple platforms, will also be getting a brand new edition.
Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror – Remastered (to give it its full title) will be available for iPad/iPhone “very shortly” and on PC/Mac “very early next year.” Interestingly, the first game’s ‘director’s cut’ came out first on DS and Wii, with a PC version sneaking out much later. This time there is no mention of a Wii or DS version.
The Smoking Mirror sees George Stobbart and Nico Collard embarking on a new adventure after the discovery of an ornately carved obsidian stone. It was originally released in 1997.
This remastered edition will feature a new interactive comic by Dave Gibbons (of Watchman art and other Revolution games fame,) plus fully animated facial expressions and improved graphics all round. In-game achievements are also mentioned, along with context-sensitive hints for those tricky adventure puzzles.
