Resident Evil 7 now works with old CPUs

Capcom has released an update for Resident Evil 7 today which is small but may help some people.

The update adds support for older generation CPUs and no longer requires the SSSE3 SIMD instruction set.

This is a problem we see cropping up with new releases when they hit Steam but it’s not usually a priority to fix. Some developers take months to fix the issue which usually leads to plenty of upset customer threads.
