Namco Bandai have confirmed that Ridge Racer Unbounded will be released March 2012 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is being developed by Finnish developer Bugbear Entertainment – the team behind FlatOut.
Ridge Racer Unbounded is set to take the series in a new direction, featuring gang races across destructible environments. Are we happy that the classic Ridge Racer formula is being shunned? No. But we appreciate that the poor sales figures of recent entries in the series means a change is probably needed.
