Yes, believe it or not, Microsoft is bringing the game back to Steam, following purchasing the franchise in that auction following the closure of the original developer, 38 Studios.
Rise of Nations Extended Edition has been developed by Skybox Labs, creator of Project Spark, so this should be a decent port. It’s a little weird to see a Microsoft owned game come up as Steamworks, but you can go ahead and buy the game off of Steam here.
