Rock of Ages 2 rolls up for an autumn release

ACE Team’s surreal, tower-pounding, boulder-driven tour through the history of art is getting a sequel; Rock of Ages 2: Bigger and Boulder. The Atlus announcement suggests the original game was the publisher’s “best-selling digital game of all time,” so in that context a follow-up is no huge surprise.

This sequel will use Unreal Engine 4 to bring the art realms of Impressionism, Surrealism (it’s kind of all surrealism), Late Gothic, and Renaissance to life, in service to a plot that involves the Greek God Atlus losing something of great importance. Rock of Ages 2 will also have a pumped up two-vs-two competitive boulder battling mode.

More details will be rolling out of E3 2016 (where the game will also be playable), but for now enjoy this trailer and expect the game in autumn this year.
