The biggest games to swell the coffers were Grand Theft Auto V  and Grand Theft Auto OnlineNBA 2K16, XCOM 2 and WWE 2K16. DLC and game currency purchases were up 15% in the last twelve months. According to Take-Two, the past twelve months has seen the “highest-ever revenue from recurrent consumer spending.”

Mafia III, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, NBA 2K17 and WWE 2K17 are all expected to be big earners in the new financial year but what are Rockstar up to? While Take-Two is not giving anything away now, they had this to say.

“Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon.”
