Invading Facinaturu
Invading the stronghold of the Mystics as Fuse is quite different compared to what you’ve gotten used to as Asellus:
- From the IRPO waiting area, choosing to go to Facinaturu will automatically spawn you in front of the castle.
- Fuse will enter the treasure room and you can pick up cool items like the Light Gun, Power Belt, and Harmonium Armor. If you carried over the items from your previous run, then you’ll have extras which are always nice.
- Once you exit the treasure room, Fuse will end up in the Dark Labyrinth. However, Turnip will help you escape. A mystic also appears trapped inside the Dark Labyrinth though. (Hint: It’s not White Rose.)
- You won’t battle Ciato, the Lion Princess, or Rastaban anymore. Instead, you’ll be at the balcony where Orlouge is gloating.
- The big bad will teleport to the previous room. Meanwhile, Asellus, White Rose, and Ildon will then join your party. They’ll have the stats and magics they had in your previous run, minus any gifts they may have acquired back then. They’re not with Fuse while he’s completing these objectives in his own campaign which means they won’t have the gifts.
Since I’ve only done Asellus’ campaign, the boss fight against Orlouge seems to be at the default difficulty. He’ll throw everything at you. But, if you’ve beaten him before, then you know what to expect. I basically used the same party when I did this as Asellus (i.e., Gen, Mesarthim, and Dr. Nusarkan). The only one I replaced was Time Lord since I didn’t have him this time.
Anyway, after beating Orlouge, you’ll see a short ending scene. It looks like Asellus is now the ruler of Facinaturu. Fuse also admits that the reason he became an investigator in the first place was because of the mystery behind her disappearance.
