Saints Row modding takes a leap forward with Volition’s support

Saints Row IV

Some great news today for Saints Row fans following an update posted on idolninja.com which announces that Volition will be actively working with the community to create full modding tools for Saints Row 3.

The move has been prompted following a request for more information with regards to file formats that have had the community stumped. A proposal on how Volition could work better with the community and mods was submitted and subsequently accepted by Volition’s Alex Mejia and Steve Jaros who are now fully behind the idea.

Initially the Volition team will be working with the community for Saints Row 3 mods but they are going to treat this as a “test run” for Saints Row IV. Now fans will be able to create new content such as  new clothing, new vehicles, new guns, new npcs and new missions.

With Volition and Deep Silver’s support, the Saints Row franchise could take on a life of its own thanks to the community.

Thanks Blues.
