Salt and Sacrifice – Gray Tome of Fates location (Ashbourne Village)
Let’s discuss the Gray Tome of Fates in Salt and Sacrifice, a key item that can be found in Ashbourne Village.
For this particular item, you’ll need to have acquired the Grappling Hook in Ashbourne Village, as well as the Magnesin Supply (i.e., zipline) in Bol Gerahn. With these tools, and given that you’ve progressed already, you can head to Ashpeak Castle to the left of the starting area.
Whether you’re coming from the main entrance or the cellar where Inquisitor Selet is, you’ll want to reach the parapets with falling platforms and grapple points.
Use the top-left exit and you’ll be on a ledge with a grapple point and a zipline.
Activate the zipline and ride it to the other side. Eliminate the mobs there if you want to.
Use the Grappling Hook to climb the ledge and pick up the item. You can drop down to the room below, which has an Obelisk and a Nameless Mage Hunt. Likewise, the path to the right leads to a chest with the Champion’s Armor Set, but spawning the platforms requires the Luminstone from Corvius’ Mire.
