Satoru Iwata re-elected as Nintendo President

Satoru Iwata will be relieved to hear that he has been re-elected as the president of Nintendo at this years Annual Shareholders Meeting which he was unable to attend as he is currently recovering from an operation.

Iwata has been the President of Nintendo since 2002 and although he has maintained a high approval rating, the rating has been slowly decreasing. In 2011 his rating was 92.9% but last year that rating was down to 77.3%, his rating for this year is yet to be announced but with the recent success of Mario Kart 8 and Nintendo’s E3, it wouldn’t surprise us if he’d gone up in popularity.
