What? I needed a ship. Don’t look at me like that.

Perihelion are still after your money for The Mandate, with their Kickstarter halfway to its $500,000 goal with 25 days to go, and they’re offering more free goodies in the hopes of piquing your interest.

This time around, it’s a text adventure. Or… well, a multiple choice Choose Your Own Adventure. You take the role of Jameson Howth and help him on his way to becoming a pirate feared as the SCOURGE OF THE MANDATE. Which, incidentally, is the name of this little game.

The Mandate itself is a sci-fi tactical RPG which is very much about your ship and your crew, and it looks rather excellent. You can have a gander at the Kickstarter here, have a play of Scourge of the Mandate here, or have a look at some tech demos and character creation tools by wandering over to this story from a little while back.
