Funcom’s restyled Secret World Legends has launched today through their official site, and is free to play. The MMO will also be coming to Steam, but a bit later on; from 31 July.

Tim’s been covering Secret World Legends prior to launch, so if you want to read an overview of the changes Funcom have made and how they play out or see the new character creator follow the requisite links. Combat has been redesigned to be more “dynamic” (all nine of the game’s weapon types have been re-engineered) and you can also expect “stronger progression structures, streamlined quest flow, and improved visuals and UI”.

The theme of the game hasn’t changed; it’s still all about the myth, conspiracy, and secrets lurking beneath the surface of the world. New storylines are promised as Secret World Legends progresses. Here’s a launch trailer.
