Shenmue III’s system requirements won’t demand a part-time job to obtain

In a new post over on Kickstarter, Deep Silver and Ys Net have revealed the hardware you’ll need to run Shenmue III when it launches later this year. In a not-so-surprising move, you won’t have to break the bank to hit the recommended specifications. Considering most titles are developed for the now six-year-old PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it only makes sense that Shenmue III wouldn’t demand a powerhouse build. Still, this should be good news for anyone that was unsure if their PC would be up to snuff.

I’m honestly surprised my Intel Core i7 3770K is still ahead of the curve. It’s amazing how much usage I’ve gotten out of the chip, but it’s also telling how lazy Intel has gotten with improvements. I do hope that those 10nm chips provide a larger boost in performance, but I suppose I can rest easy knowing games like Shenmue III will still run for the next year or so. Even the GPU requirements aren’t so high, which means you can pick up a cheap 10 series Geforce card and be all good.

Anyway, here are the specs you’ll be looking at to get the “final” chapter of Ryo’s saga running on your rig.
