Hotly anticipated platformer Shovel Knight, which successfully capped off its Kickstarter last April 14, 2013, is finally at Alpha. Developer Yacht Club Games actually missed their initial projected release date of September of that year, but they have kept backers happy, thanks to frequent updates on their Kickstarter page. Now, they are that much closer to bringing the game to release, as they promise in the last update that they have been working 24/7 to get the game, as well as backer rewards, ready to ship out.

Shovel Knight was one of the highlight Kickstarters of 2013, and is certain to be one of the most popular games of 2014.
