Pierre, whom you meet alongside Toka as you journey to Francia, will provide you with Rebel Missions once you've cleared Melun. These are akin to the Thousand Eyes Contracts from Reda in that they're just bite-sized tasks. The difference is that there's a progression system much like the Trade Posts/Prosperity mechanics in Wrath of the Druids. In turn, you'll be able to obtain upgrades, cosmetics, and the Reaper armor set. The basics of Rebel Missions Let's talk about the basics of doing Rebel Missions in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris. You're only allowed to choose on Rebel Mission at any given point in time. The usual tasks include: Killing a specific target in a camp. Killing a specific target or all targets that are out on patrol. They'll move from one location to the next, and if they reach their destination, you'll fail the mission. Stealing a note or important item. This item might be found in a camp or it could be held by a hostile. You can kill this foe or sneak by to steal the item. Once you've arrived at your destination, you'll also notice a couple of friendly NPCs (rebel soldiers). Only two are available by default, though you can bolster your band later via upgrades. Anyway, these fellas will stand back and let you do your thing if you can remain undetected. However, if you get discovered, they'll battle the other soldiers as well. Note: You can choose between melee or ranged units who'd accompany you during most Rebel Missions. I suggest ranged units since they can steer clear of danger (Eivor would often take aggro). The exception is when you choose solo missions where Eivor is, obviously, alone and without any backup. When you're done with your task, simply return to Pierre or any of his agents to complete the Rebel Mission. You'll gain a pip in your Infamy rank, as well as Silver Deniers. This unique currency has multipliers that are active depending on your Infamy level, as well as how many rebel soldiers survived. All right, let's go ahead and talk about the rewards and upgrades in the next part of our Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris Rebel Missions guide. Rewards, upgrades, and the Reaper armor set You can obtain rewards and upgrades from Pierre or any of his agents. These perks and items cost Silver Deniers, and some won't be available until you've increased your Infamy rank further. The upgrades panel shows you the stuff that can strengthen the rebel soldiers who are backing you up: Upgrade Effect Cost New Recruits Adds more rebel fighters to your squad. 200 (level 1) Melee Training Upgrades two rebels into swordsmen to increase their effectiveness. 400 (level 1) Spoils of War Melee fighters upgrade their pitchforks into spears. 400 (level 1) Ranged Reinforcement Adds more rebel ranged attackers to your squad. 200 (level 1) Keen Eyes Upgrades two rebel ranged attackers into marksmen to increase their effectiveness. 400 (level 1) Stolen Equipment Ranged attackers train as archers; their slings are turned into bows. 400 (level 1) Field Supplies Accepting a solo mission fully replenishes your arrows, rations, and adrenaline. 500 (level 1) Oblivious Target Slightly reduces the perception radius of solo mission targets. 500 (level 1) Friends in Low Places Reduces the size of enemy squads during solo missions by 1. 700 Apart from upgrades, you can also use Silver Deniers to purchase items. Examples include rations, arrows, materials, cosmetics (i.e., hairstyles and tattoos), runes, and even a Rebel Raven skin for your feathered friend. Perhaps a reward that you're looking forward to is the Reaper armor set. The costs range from 400 to 750 Silver Deniers. Certain armor pieces become available as you increase your Infamy rank (the chestpiece itself only appears once you've reached the cap at Infamy rank 4). Meanwhile, you'll obtain the Reaper's Bracers automatically once you reach Infamy rank 3. Wearing the full armor set provides the following perks: Restore some health after a successful assassination. Time slows down longer when you're spotted by an enemy. Anyway, since I've talked about Infamy ranks, let's discuss how to level up quickly in the next part of our Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris guide. Infamy leveling tips So, how exactly do you gain Infamy levels quickly in Rebel Missions in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris? Well, all you need to do is complete more Rebel Missions, but which ones should you prioritize? In my opinion, you should simply stick to the ones given to you by Pierre in Melun. Specifically, you'll notice a couple of objectives that pop up. These will mention either: A note/clue/document in the Hidden Dock. A specific target in the Scout Camp. At the start, Pierre will often hand you missions for these two areas. The Hidden Dock is the first place that you discovered when you arrived in Francia, and it happens to be a fast travel point, too. If a Rebel Mission takes place here, you can fast travel, sneak around/kill the target, run to lose aggro, and return to Melun. Meanwhile, the Scout Camp is just north of the Hidden Dock. If that's where a Rebel Mission target is, the Hidden Dock won't have enemies, so you can mount up and make your way to the Scout Camp in less than a minute. Likewise, I suggest that you avoid progressing further in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris' campaign. There seems to be a point where Pierre would start giving you missions related to patrols (i.e., Pruvinis) or those that take place in faraway locations (i.e., Charles III's Forward Camp). These aren't ideal since our Infamy leveling would slow down to a crawl if the destinations are too distant. What happens once you've reached Infamy rank 4? After reaching Infamy rank 4, Pierre will tell you that there will be a feast. The event itself might not fire, so you'll probably need to reload your save or fast travel from Melun. Anyway, the cutscene shows several rebel soldiers milling about, and Eivor will have a short chat with Pierre. Also, there is an opportunity to flirt/romance Pierre during the "Skål" quest much later in the campaign. However, I'm not sure if you'd need to reach Infamy rank 4, and thus watch the feast cutscene, to trigger this. Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris is available via Ubisoft's website.
