SimCity lays the foundations for 5 March release

The next installment of SimCity has suffered a slight construction delay, pushing it into March 2013. That’s 5 March in the US, and 8 March in Europe. EA has also outlined a couple of pre-order editions of the game, with a few of those ubiquitous pre-order bonus bits.

At $80 USD, you can pick up the ‘Digital Deluxe’ edition, which features additional European-style buildings (listed as a French, German and British city set). Meanwhile, at $60 USD you can get a ‘Limited’ digital edition that contains ‘Heroes and Villains’ DLC, adding events like a ‘Crime Wave’ and buildings like a Superhero HQ.

The ‘Digital Deluxe’ version also contains the ‘Heroes and Villains’ stuff.

Head to the pre-order page if you want to read more, or to check if the offer extends to your region. Below is a reminder of what happens when disaster strikes your city.
