SimCity theme park DLC coming 28 May

Maxis and EA will be releasing their first piece of paid for DLC, which is a theme park pack, on 28 May. Maxis updated their Facebook page earlier with the post of:

Some of you may have seen thrilling new SimCity content that arrived too early at the gate. It’s coming May 28th. We think you’ll be amused.

At that point images of the DLC had already leaked out and looking at the shots it appears like this is DLC that if going to take up a lot of room in the already cramped cities. We are guessing the idea behind this pack is to encourage players to set up a new city in the region and run it as a theme park city, although how that would work with the current RCI system is a bit puzzling.

There’s not much else on this at the moment apart from the fact the DLC will sell for $9.99 which means it had better be pretty substantial for that price.
