Skulls of the Shogun coming late January, exclusive to Windows 8

Indie outfit 17-BIT today announced a release date for turn-based strategy game Skulls of the Shogun. 30 January is the day when you’ll be able to get your hands on it, assuming you have $15 USD to hand over in return.

Somewhat controversially, the game will only run on PCs with the Windows 8 operating system (plus Surface tablets), so if you have Windows 7 or older than you’ll just have to pass on this one.

Four-player local and co-op is on offer in the game, which brings you face to face with “vibrant ghost-samurai warriors, magical animal-monks, and mustachioed samurai generals.” The single player campaign is said to be around 15 hours in length.
