Skyrim Special Edition beta patch 1.3 released

Bethesda’s other big November release, Skyrim Special Edition, has also received a beta patch today (Dishonored 2 got an update earlier). Version 1.3 is not a huge update by any means, but it fixes a particular bug and suggests it has improved support for 144hz monitors.

If you want to opt in to the Skyrim Special Edition betas, you do the usual Steam dance. Right-click on the game in your library, open Properties, then the Betas tab, and select the beta branch you want to be on. Steam will do the rest (restart it if the beta doesn’t begin downloading immediately). You can opt out again later, if you wish.

Here are the patch notes.

Fixes

  • General stability and performance improvements
  • Fixed an issue where Slow Time effects weren’t behaving properly
  • Better support for 144hz displays
