SNK is giving out a ton of free games on Twitch Prime

Some great news today for fans of the veteran Japanese developer SNK. The house that gave us The King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, and so much more is offering up seven of its games for free for Twitch Prime members.

Tomorrow, May 26, the below seven games will will be given out by SNK through Twitch Prime, being the start of a group of over 20 games that will come through the rest of the year. As long as you are a Twitch Prime member, which you should be if you have Amazon Prime, the games are yours to keep forever.

This year is the 30th anniversary of the Neo Geo hardware that launched in 1990, which is why SNK is handing out all of these classics free for the taking. The first seven games available are Fatal Fury Special, The King of Fighters 2000, Samurai Shodown 2, Art of Fighting 2, Blazing Star, and Pulstar.

Some additional SNK titles to be included in the giveaway in the future have been teased as well: Garou: Mark of the Wolves, The Last Blade 2Metal Slug 2The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final Edition, Sengoku 3, and King of the Monsters.

Some of these games, like King of Fighters 2000, are bona fide classics, and others like Pulstar are hidden gems that a lot of people may not even know about. So this is a great chance to catch up and get acquainted with the library of one of Japan’s most beloved and respected developers. You can access all these games through Twitch Prime, and be sure to keep an eye out for when the next wave of games releases this summer. Also, for those purists wondering, all of these games will be the Western release versions. So bear that in mind. Either way, it is a great deal for fans of arcade classics everywhere.
