SOE Defends Paid Airdrops, But Will Refund H1Z1 Players

After the issue exploding on reddit yesterday, SOE has decided to refund H1Z1 players unhappy with paid airdrops.

Their decision to add paid airdrops caused an uproar, as fans decried SOE turning back on their promise to keep the game from going F2P. SOE tried to defend their action by calling it a server event, but eventually decided it was best to let fans opt out of the game if they wanted to.

Whatever the nature of the airdrops, it seems SOE should have anticipated this becoming an issue and communicated their plans earlier.
