You’ll fight dangerous enemies in Sons of the Forest. Early on, you can fend them off using the Crafted Spear or Crafted Bow. Still, you might need something that’s a bit more, shall we say, fiery, just to even the odds. Here’s our guide to help you craft a Molotov Cocktail in Sons of the Forest.

Sons of the Forest guide – How to craft a Molotov Cocktail
You’ll need a couple of items to craft a Molotov Cocktail in Sons of the Forest:
- 1x Cloth – You should have a couple of cloth pieces in your inventory after checking all the containers in the crash site. Alternatively, there might be some in a nearby base camp at the end of the winding river.
- 1x Alcohol – Speaking of containers, you might see one near the crash site that has a bottle of alcohol. The aforementioned base camp might also have a couple, as well as the nearby cave.

Once you have both items, open your inventory by pressing the “I” key. Right-click on the bottle of vodka (upper-left portion of the interface) and the cloth piece (lower-left portion). This will place both items in the center of the interface. Next, highlight the gear icon and hold the right mouse button. This will complete the item combination process, allowing you to craft a Molotov Cocktail in Sons of the Forest.
Left-click on the item to equip it, then bring out your lighter by pressing the “L” key. Take note of the button prompt so you can ignite it, then throw it. This will cause a fiery eruption in a small area, scorching any hostiles that get hit.
