It was recently speculated that perhaps Sony might offer The Last of Us PS4 at a discounted price to those who already own the game on the PlayStation 3.
Whilst writing on the EU PlayStation Blog Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli answered a fan question regarding a discount for PS3 owners. He said: “We’re looking into the business model for all this and will post about this once we have input from all regions.”
Some fans have said that it seems unfair for Sony to charge full price for a game many of us already bought less than a year ago. On the other hand no one is forcing us to buy the game on PS4 so I can personally see both sides of the argument. It is also worth noting that the PS4 version of the game will include all the DLC released for the PS3 version, as well as a commentary from the creators and enhanced graphics.
