The company with the  most successful console of the current generation isn’t exactly cheering from ear to ear. Sony has revealed their loss for the financial year have dipped even further, to $ 1.3 billion, or 130 billion yen.

This stems from two underperforming business segments; PCs, which are selling below expectations since they revealed plans to sell the business wholesale to JIP, and optical discs, which are apparently seeing less demand in Europe, above other regions. So, whereas optical disc sales would have otherwise stemmed the loss from the PC business, both are now liabilities.
