The chaps behind Battlestar Galactica Online, Artplant, have just launched their new space based MMO Entropy on Steam Early Access today.
Featuring sandbox gameplay, trading and space combat, there’s 100 star systems to explore as players set out to save a “crumpling interstellar civilization”. It’s basically promising most things anyone who’s into space games would get excited about.
“We’re really excited to finally unveil Entropy to MMO fans; it’s an ambitious title for us and we can’t wait to see how players react to engaging in player-controlled, intergalactic dogfights for the very first time in a space-based MMO,” said Jack Wulf, Chief Executive Officer of Artplant. “Launching through Steam’s Early Access programme will help ensure Entropy connects with its emergent community and utilise crucial feedback from players, enhancing the incredible gameplay experience we’re building.”
The game has been pushed into early access at this point in development to get more feedback on how it’s shaping up. If you fancy taking the plunge there are a selection of founders packs available which give perks and benefits once the game leaves Early Access.
