Spintires: MudRunner 2 announced, more details coming in 2019

Saber Interactive delivered Spintires: MudRunner back in late 2017 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Since launch, the team has been working on expanding the game with new content. A Nintendo Switch version was also announced earlier this year and will be released sometime in the Fall. But, it turns out there’s been more to the MudRunner story than expected.

Out of scenic nowhere, MudRunner 2 has been announced. Saber has stated that MudRunner 2 will build upon the existing game with “new features and enhancements”. The team will once again be partnering up with Focus Home Interactive who will take care of the publishing duties.

No release date has been announced yet for Spintires: MudRunner 2. But, it has been confirmed that more info about the game will be unveiled in Q1 of 2019.

Personally, I find this move to be a bit weird. The new American Wilds DLC expansion is set to release this fall; possibly around the same time the Switch version launches. Since the sequel has been formally announced, that seems to indicate that the American Wilds expansion will be the last major release for the original MudRunner. If it were me, I would’ve announced the sequel next year instead, so as not to take attention away from the new content for the existing game. But, what’s done is done. In any case, it will be interesting to see how MudRunner 2 improves upon the formula. What would you like to see from it?

Having been introduced to video games at the age of 3 via a Nintendo 64, A.K has grown up in the culture. A fan of simulators and racers, with a soft spot for Nintendo! But, he has a great respect for the entire video game world and enjoys watching it all expand as a whole.

Something else to do than logging, or rather, along with logging.

Building bridges, setting up lumber mills or log kiosks with materials like concrete, wood, steel beams, fell our own trees, clear roads and trails, pave, etc.

Clearing a virgin map on hardcore mode could involve scouting, planning, chopping trees, making trails and roads, building kiosks/mills, and finally logging to an objective.

Starting out on the edge of the forest with pallets of concrete/steel/wood to be hoisted onto flatbeds and brought into the forest to build all this stuff, etc etc.

      Adding to wrecktom-
      What he said/and or

-truck garage where allows you to upgrade tires/engine performance/rocksliders/ ect….
Make the winch an upgradable option. Game is way too easy as it is.( the winch makes it to where you dont have to think about consequences.)

-a money system (which you earn $$) over successfull deliveries of logs and other items.. i.e. everytime you deliver w.o. rolling over get bonus; and even more depending on truck used and set up i.e.(2wd/4wd/locked diffs/ No winch) “MAKE IT CHALLENGING”.

-SNOW +clearing/(snow maps) w severe weather system making things really hard to travel if not cleared(oportunity to use that skidder!) Or plow for the scouts… i feel like this one is a no brainer easy to do.

      – NOTE THIS IS JUST CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM i love the game. You guys are doing a great job. I feel if all or atleast one of these ideas where implemented sales would go through the roof!

Fans should continue to contribute on how to better the game and not bashing it like i constantly see
