It’s been a while since we looked at Squad and development has been progressing slowly but surely. This weekend the game is completely¬†free to try on Steam.

The weekend is now underway¬†and there’s also 50% off on the game over the weekend. The free weekend coincides with the release of the v9.2 patch which adds features to “make the free weekend more enjoyable”. These include:

  • Auto-joins when there is room (Although that should be assumed.)
  • No limits on queues as many people as long as they want.
  • Queues split by public and reserve, reserve joins first.
  • No more wasted loading times. No longer loading to see “Server is full”.

To take part this weekend, head to the Steam page and hit Play.
