Square Enix Announces Job Cuts

Square Enix has announced it will cut jobs at its London development studio, Beautiful Game. The developer is responsible for the long-running Championship manager series, which demonstrated improvement in its latest iteration as well as a brave pricing model.”Our current business model does not allow us to compete in a fast-changing industry with any degree of flexibility or commercial confidence,” said a statement from Square Enix (thanks Develop)”To achieve this, we will be restructuring Beautiful Game Studios, which will regrettably bring with it unavoidable job losses.”According to the publisher, both the studio and the Championship Manager franchise will continue.
