I’m not sure there’s any new game footage in this Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer, but it does have Lucasfilm talking heads discussing the main character. Iden Versio (for that is her name) is a TIE Fighter pilot, special forces soldier, and the daughter of an Admiral. As such, she’s pretty into the whole Empire idea.
Much like the late, great TIE Fighter it sounds like Battlefront 2 wants to delve into an Imperial story. Whether that means Versio will end up fighting for the rebels, or just exposing internal conspiracies, we’ll have to wait and see. There’s a lot the writers could do with an Empire-focused narrative, so hopefully they’ll find some interesting angles.
Here’s the trailer. It’s PlayStation branded, but Star Wars Battlefront 2 will also be out on PC in November.
