StarCraft: Remastered invades in August, costs $15

Blizzard’s remastered version of StarCraft now has a release date, and a bonus live action trailer. That same trailer confirms that the remaster will be released on 14 August.

There’s also a pre-order page up on Battle.net showing a price of $15.00 USD. Purchasing ahead of release unlocks a few extra buildings (as shown on the linked page): Korhal Command Center, Aiur Nexus, and Char Hive. As previously announced, StarCraft: Remastered will have 4K support, LAN and “modern online play”.

This new version comes bundled with the StarCraft: Brood War expansion. Here’s the new trailer, featuring people across the globe preparing for the arrival of a familiar alien invasion.
