Stardew Valley Sells More Than A Million Copies!

Three years after its original presentation, Stardew Valley has sold more than a million copies within two months of releasing. We are pretty sure that no one saw that coming in 2013 when the game was still in Steam Greenlight, but we are also sure that publisher Chucklefish Games will be pretty happy about that.

A representative for the company talked to Polygon and he confirmed that 1,007,000 copies of the game have already been pushed on Steam. Stardew Valley still sits on the 915k mark on Steamspy, but there is no reason not to believe the statement of the representative. Even Steamspy’s number looks huge for this game.

Creator Eric Barrone does also feel pretty happy about Stardew Valley’s numbers and it seems that this title was something more than a game for a niche audience.
