Strange Adventures in Infinite Space is now free to download.Digital Eel’s space adventure/strategy game works on the promise of “[exploring] the galaxy in 20 minutes or less” and that’s exactly what it does.As captain of a ship, you move from star to star, finding treasures, upgrading your ship, meeting aliens, and either recruiting them or blowing the hell out of them for a ten-year game span. The more you do, the higher your score, which means a mixture of finding a solid route and hoping for good encounters in order to better your previous results. And now, it’s free on Shrapnel Games. The sequel – Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space – contains plenty more to do, but this is still a recommended slice of free coffee-break gaming.
