Welcome to our Streamer Spotlight! Each week we will be highlighting one gamer or group that is doing some great things in the gaming community. Check them out on their respective streams as they demonstrate skill, and of course, giving you some reasons you should spend some time on their channels.

Heck, even if you are new to streaming, maybe you’ll learn a thing-or-two on how you can start your own channel.

This week’s streamer is none other than the man of many names: DeejayKnight!

My name is D’Juan, but you can find me as Deejay Knight or DeejayKnight pretty much everywhere, lol.

Where can I find your content? Channel(s)

You can find me primarily on Twitter or Twitch.tv, but I have a gaming site called GAMINGtruth (@GAMINGtruth) and I’m on YouTube at DeejayKnightGames.

What is your channel most known for?

My channel is known mostly for me being a goof! I play bunches of shooters primarily, but I’m a variety streamer so whatever tickles my fancy is what I play.

What are your favorite games to stream?

My favorites right now are World of Warships & H1Z1, though I need to get back into streaming Rocket League and ARK: Survival Evolved.

What are some of your all-time favorite games?

Man, that’s a loaded question! The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my all-time favorite. Following closely are the WCW vs NWO series (WWE Wrestlemania 2000, WWE No Mercy, etc) from AKI, the N64 Goldeneye games and sneaking in there are Halo and Twisted Metal: Black.

What do you usually sip or drink for a long session?

My drink of choice is Coke Zero because it’s low calorie/carb and is often on sale. A very close second is Monster Zero followed by Diet Mountain Dew.

What is your current RIG or PC build?

Aside from the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, my rig is an:

  • Intel i5-4690K @ 3.5GHz
  • Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 5
  • 24GB of PNY XLR8 DDR3
  • all teamed up with the glorious NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti. Needless to say, I love my rig!

What software do you boot up when prepping your stream or what is used to help you stream?

The software I need is fairly straightforward. I have AnkhBot software for my bot (which also helps me read chat), Firefox so I can check my dashboard and a few other sites, the TwitchAlerts app that keeps my latest followers/donators updated, OBS multiplatform, and the game I’m playing.

If I had to pick my favorite gaming accessory, it would have to be my   _________ because of  ___________ :

Man, that’s TOUGH. I’d have to give that up to my headset, the Kraken USB. Its pretty great for audio, but I’ve gotten a lot of compliments about how much better I sound since I started using it.

Needless to say, I love my rig!

Needless to say, I love my rig!

What is your No. 1 tip for noobs?

My number one tip? Watch other streamers and stream. It does you no good to stream in your own little bubble if you’re not interacting with other streamers, watching streams and engaging in the streaming community. Some of my most awesome nights have been off-stream because I meet new streamers all the time and hang in their channels. Keep at it. You’ll get better!
