Streets Of Rage 4 Mr X Nightmare Dlc Steamdb movie film adaptation

Streets of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare DLC shows up on SteamDB

Taking it back to Mr. X.

It’s been nearly a year since Streets of Rage 4 hit the proverbial streets with all the noise and brutality of its forebears. Months down the line, developer and publisher of the game Dotemu revealed that more is coming, possibly in the form of DLC. However, it didn’t allude to what this content will be, nor did Dotemu offer an ETA. However, earlier today Streets Of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare was spotted over at SteamDB, hinting that a reveal may be just around the corner.

It’s important to note that nothing has been officially announced for the game just yet. The DLC was spotted earlier today by Reddit user mikesaintjules, who shared the link. Over at SteamDB, Streets Of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare is listed as DLC, but it includes no other information. But it’s not difficult to speculate what the possible upcoming content contains.

Mr. X was the big bad of the original Streets of Rage trilogy. He was absent in the fourth game, replaced by his twin children Mr. and Ms. Y. Playing the game, you’ll notice shrines dedicated to the boss daddy near the end of the story mode. However, you didn’t get to see a single, silky strand of his slicked hair. Streets Of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare may change all that, bringing back the terror with the Tommy Gun, and perhaps lording over some kind of epilogue chapter.

Mr. and Ms. Y may have had a complex.

Daddy issues

Other than perhaps a new level, I wonder what else the DLC will have in store. For some time now, fans have been clamoring for a new character to sweep the streets with (not that we were without an already impressive stable with the retro characters). Estel Aguirre, a police officer and boss character who stood in players’ way, seems like a good bet. However, both modern versions of Shiva and Max are possible, and they’re already fully animated with their own movesets. If we’re looking to take the fight once again to Mr. X, having Max by our side once again will feel just right.

Of course, we won’t know until Dotemu lifts the veil. But now that the cat is out of the bag, we may hear about what’s in store for the Streets Of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare DLC very soon.
