Stuart Black, former Codemasters employee and creator of the FPS Black, is now heading a London-based studio of City Interactive.
A report at Gamasutra suggests that Black is the creative director and working on a WWII shooter. Before everybody reading dies of boredom at hearing that news though, Black himself describes it as “story-driven” and states that it will “emphasize high adventure in a genre that’s become bogged down in reverence and historical accuracy.” So we’re probably talking less tedious weapon statistics and more Indiana Jones hijinx.
City Interactive recently licensed Crytek’s CryEngine 3 for two as-then unnamed projects due out in “the next couple of years.” It seems quite likely that Black’s game is one of those titles.
There’s little else to go on, with no platforms or further details announced as yet.
