Fabricator Base and constructing Al-An’s body
Now that you have all three Architect components, it’s time to construct Al-An’s body.
We’ll have to go to the Fabricator Base. The entrance to the cave system leading to it can be found at the northeastern section of the Crystal Caves.
You’ll know that you’re close once you see a particular corner with red crystals instead of purple ones. Oh, and there’s another Shadow Leviathan that’s swimming here.
The center of the huge cavern has a doorway that you can enter to reach the Fabricator Base. You’ll see a console straight ahead and three panels to your left. The panels off to the side are where you’ll place materials that will be used to construct Al-An’s body parts:
- Architect Skeleton – 1x polyaniline, 3x diamond, and 1x plasteel ingot.
- Architect Tissues – 2x root pustule, 1x synthetic fibers, and 2x gel sack.
- Architect Organs – 1x ion cube, 2x ribbon plant, and 3x kyanite.
After all three have been crafted by the machines, activate the console to complete Al-An’s new vessel. Robin will be able to scan him once the process is finished.
Note: Try to avoid switching to “photo mode” here (i.e., pressing F6 to remove the HUD). I encountered a bug where I couldn’t interact or scan Al-An at all and I had to reload an earlier save.
After scanning Al-An, you can then have him leave Robin’s mind. This will lead to a short cutscene and dialogue.
