Developer Vostok Games has finally started the alpha test for their free to play MMOFPS SurvariumI in which players  traverse a disaster ridden landscape and fight for survival. In case you are unfamiliar with Vostok, they include members of the development team behind the popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R series.
Vostok  are aiming to have at least 200 players online 24/7 while this phase of alpha testing takes place. Keeping that in mind, invites will be continually sent out to applicants but only Russian speaking countries are currently included. International testing is expected to get underway within the next few weeks.
Right now the alpha test contains one game mode, team-based PvP so it’s very early days, but there’s a new developer alpha tester diary now live on the official site which explains the current status of the testing.
With testing now in progress, Vostok released the first two alpha test screenshots.
